>>51249550It's definitely better in that regard, but his team was always meant to reflect the "gift" Pokemon you get in Yellow, and while Eevee is on that list, it being an Espeon for the peak Kanto team is weird. If it was one of the original 3, it'd be favoritism too. (Espeon already is anyways)
The other options are the fossils (Omastar and Kabutops are a choice so again, favoritism), the Hitmons (Favoritism), maybe Gyarados (If Red bought the Magikarp, but it's a blatant scam) and Lapras.
Lapras really is the least problematic one out of the bunch.
Speaking of Gyarados, I think it'd be a strong contender for such a team, more so if it's the shiny one.
