3 games releasing in damn near a year of each other, requiring outsourcing main series projects, the games coming out at such a frequency it feels like they only exist to bump merch sales and all the main facets of it just being an advertisement for each other.
Some of us just want some good fucking plots again, focus on the adventure. It ain't even about back in the day, I just want a pokemon game that doesn't exist to shill a gimmick that in of itself exists to sell toys and plush dolls based off in [insert this Gens transformation/move related thing here].
Just because you're older doesn't mean you can't enjoy shit from your childhood anymore otherwise I'd probably have given up gaming as a whole for a "more mature" hobby. If this series wasn't being pigeon holed into a pikachu plush factory I have every confidence that Pokemon games could be far better than what we're getting, but that just wouldn't be financially viable to the TCPi overlords.
