No, probably not.
But I wouldn't worry too much, he's getting canned or rebooted in november. His character is literally done. People always had the excuse of "oh but after he wins a league he has LE ELITE 4!!! and after that we have LE CHAMPIONS!!!"

It's implied that the regis are just filler too since he needed to catch them to get clues about Mew
That fucking Urshifu-SS solo'd all three of the regis
