I'm convinced the future pokemon were all modified by humans from the future (alluding to pokemon abuse btw). At least one of the forms should be using their throat as a wheel if you want the future ones to feel like a natural evolution and not a group of horribly abused pokemon who had their limbs removed

You're forgetting that Clefairy comic (that, as far as I know, is still ongoing). Infact it's where a lot of them network and end up entering the scene in the first place. Hayao Miyazaki is probably the most famous anime director in the west and he was involved in loli anthologies back in the 70's along with many other famous people in the industry.
