It takes the item slot, so it's not free, if you use it you may be giving up on a valuable LO, Choice item, Sash, HDB... You can describe many competitive-viable items like that and make it sound busted.

we don't know the exact changes it provides yet, but if i were a betting man i'd say it's dogshit.
even if it removes the chance to hit twice it's still comparable to life orb, with the huge drawback of not working outside of multi-hit moves.
given that the only multi-hit users that aren't skill-link based are technician-based with priority moves, that's an absolutely unacceptable drawback.

Depends on exactly how it works. If it's just pure RNG (increases chance of more hits, decreases chance of fewer) then yeah it's kinda' dogshit. If it maybe removes the chance of getting fewer hits though then that could actually make certain multi-hit moves pretty solid. Watered down Skill Link but in exchange you can give that hold item to literally anything.

They don't usually give entire Abilities away as Items that have no drawbacks, anon. Skill Link+another Ability is REALLY fucking good and outdamages the shit out of stuff like LO and Choice Specs/Band for a good number of Pokemon.
