>>51275253It's kind of half and half. The first few villains have no transformations except for frieza, which was a recolor. The heroes were entirely recolors. The second half though the villains have ALL had multiple different forms that were not colors. Moro had like 7 different forms and so did gas and while orange piccolo sounds like a recolor it is actually a body transformation since he gets big and cavemany.
So basically not really any different to regular db. Frieza and cell and buu had different forms but all the saiyan shit was just more hair. It was way worse than recolors, especially when ss2 ended up being just more upward hair.
People really have forgotten how little dragon ball has actually changed. Aside from the anime shit that's non canon and is not in the manga, people's complaints are usually just shit that's normal for dragon ball

In fact if namek happened today you'd be rolling your eyes about yet ANOTHER villain pulling forms out of his ass and being stronger for no reason and you'd roll your eyes at all the bullshit like krillin, gohan, and piccolo getting super crazy powerups for free and it was STILL not enough and ultimately pointless. You'd be raging at all the stupid decisions. It's dragon ball dude, it's how it's ALWAYS been.
