Love all the Pokemon designs so far, the character designs are great (maybe with the exception of Penny but I love Jacq and Arven enough to make up for it, the region looks really interesting and genuinely fun to explore. The battle gimmick actually looks pretty neat for a change. I like the idea of changing types, I think if we had to get a battle gimmick then at least we got an interesting concept that could shake up battles. The online battles having ranked and casual categories and even rental Pokemon basically means we can have endless battles (if the online isn’t shit, which is yet to be seen). The fact that you can play with your friends is maybe the most exciting part of it all, I have three friends who are all getting the game and we’ve got plans to take off work the Friday of release and spend the weekend blasting through it fully co-op, battling each other after every gym so we can be each others’ rivals. This game has fully ignited my Poke-autism, it’s like everything I’ve ever wanted from a Pokemon game. The hits not connecting during battle, some of the low res textures, and the gyms not scaling are all kind of disappointing but nothing is enough to keep me from thinking these are gonna be the best games in the franchise. I love Pokemon so much bros
