just add snow and frostbite from PLA, but keep hail as well so that ice types get two types of weather and the abilities requiring hail would just activate with either one
they should rrally just take all the status effect changes and tweaks from PLA into SV tbqh.

Gen 8 fixed it.
FOUR ice types have been sent to ubers (Caly-I, Darm-G, Kyu-B and even regular Kyurem) one single-handedly got an item banned (Cloyster, King's Rock), one revived an entire playstyle (Arctozolt), Snow Warning+Aurora Veil isn't restricted to Ninetales-A anymore, Freeze-Dry was given to literally all special ice attackers, HDB fixed the SR issue, Weavile is a bloody monster with Triple Axel, Lapras got the best G-Max move and even the ice types shitmons of thos generation have very strong abilities so they're not totally worthless (Frosmoth and Eiscue).

Face it, ice is an actually good type.
Bug, grass, normal, rock, psychic and electric are the types that need fixing now.

I understand what you're saying, but Caly-I and Kyu-B are really bad examples.
Caly-I has a BST of 680, so it'd fucking better be an Uber. And the fact that Kyu-B was, at any point, not Uber despite having 170 base Attack and a 700 BST is not a good thing. And I'd argue that regular Kyurem did not deserve to be banned and was only banned because it humiliated the council leader.
And with Darm-G, the whole reason it's good is that it plays to the type's strengths. Same goes for Weavile. Ice is very much a glass cannon type, but the majority of Ice-types are slow and bulky (and don't have godlike BST's) and will be permanently stuck as shitmons for that reason.

These two are meant to be banned by default because they're box art legends but were so ass that they were given an exemption from that rule. Keep in mind that regular Kyurems stats are practically identical to Xerneas' & Yveltals.

Just for Dynamax to be ditched by rebranded Hidden Power in gen 9 like all the other regional gimmicks that made the strong Pokémon stronger.
