The way he was brushed off in the anime is disgusting. If you think about it, besides Mewtwo, this is the only Pokémon that gets it's own storyline in the original games. How the fuck was that not significant when deciding Ash's original team?
The fact that they missed out on having the rescued orphan crybaby wimp raised by the protagonist and ending up a badass overtime is beyond me. He doesn't even get his own episode, just minor background appearances. I'm glad Pokémon Origins payed him his dues but him not being part of Ash's OGs will never not be a mistake. He should have been almost as iconic as Charizard and yet normies barely remember him. Shame on you Shudo!
