Anybody else notice how a lot of fully evolved modern Pokemon somehow only look like 1st or 2nd stages

When I first saw this Pokemon I thought for sure it would have another evolution
It seems to me like GF just doesn't know how to make a final evolution actually look final the way they used to or maybe they even do it intentionally because they want to be able to go back and give a lot of these mons new evolutions in later gens that really wouldn't surprise me
