Last year I played Black again after a fuckton of years and forgot about that(did remember the extra dreamyard area but found it weird I couldn't get there) and was surprised I forgot about that.

some are obtainable as soon as you have access to their locations, others are national dex only, and a few can only be gotten after reaching a certain point in the story

i've been playing Pokemon Unbound.
All the new features are nice, but it's built like an MMO. Every map is scaled up so much you can hardly see anything.
And the gym "puzzles", dear god. I switched to easy mode because it was too time-consuming to enter a gym more than once.

Pokemon clover was the worst for this. Had like 3 pockets: Key Items, Balls, EVERYTHING ELSE.

Was a nightmare to navigate through it with all the fucking gems, battle items, pots, evo stones and god know what else.

This is only really true for Mudsdale and maybe Sharpedo IIRC. There are Tauros Rocks in a few places around Melemele, Machamp blocks around all 4 islands, and water for Lapras in the early game. Then Stoutland and Charizard don't have obstacles to clear
