Because unlike Grim, people in both the Smogon and Game Freak metas run actual teams with good offensive and defensive cores to support Tyranitar instead of a hyper offensive team that consists of 5 fighting-weak mons, one 4x fighting weak mon and a neutral-to-fighting mon with the defenses of wet toilet paper. Oh, and also cause Excadrill and that electric dragon abomination get high off of Tyranitar’s sand cocaine.

Edgy Tyranitar doesn't have the same weaknesses of normal Tyranitar. "TRUE DARK" doesn't have any weaknesses and is unresisted.
It wins the 1v1 with Breloom

Breloom needs a Swords Dance to OHKO, and Marysuetar can OHKO it while it sets up.
