>>51310714>m saying im tired of Anti-Mega Fags coming out of the woodworks trying to double down on the loss of megas with bad talking pointsThese talking points aren't exaggerated and were entirely observable, even when Megas were at their peak. Megas being gone being a positive to some people isn't some sort of new development, the mechanic was somewhat maligned for it's poor balance since it had time to settle in competitive nearly a decade ago
> and mons benefited off megas and they could've added more megas as was stratagem that could've stuck around them removing it is like regressing to the stone age, why just remove it entirely when it carried on to Sun and Moon, they clearly had fun with it, your just eating the propaganda that Smogon tards tell you,No, not really. I use Showdown and follow competitive but I barely interact with it's users past a "gg" when I win or lose a match.
>take a mon like Shiftry, 3 stage evo, and its final evo is shit stat wise, imagine giving it a mega and boosting its speed, it would mean alot same exact thing with Manectric and Lopunny, ZU level mons getting somewhere with MegasThey could've gone somewhere with actual attention not tied to a gimmicky super form with a tacky design (in Manectric's case). Megas were an unprecedented level of powercreep because of GF's retarded flat-100 BST boot approach, it was a reckless, sometime outright ineffective way to try and give a boon to bad mons, and an irresponsible buff to good ones at the same time.
>>51310756>They do that nearly every generation. This rarely fixes pokemon that are fundamentally outclassed due to bad stats. Then they should buff the BSTs more to go along with it
>That’s what Megas did a lot of the time.Of the 48 megas only 9 changed the mons' type in any way
>Because it’s lazy and less interesting than Megas. How is genuinely giving a Pokemon a second look and adjusting it divorced from a new flashy gimmick to be sold to kids lazy and uninteresting?
