When you meet him in Mt. Coronet, Cyrus says the world is filled with strife because of the incomplete human spirit. Cyrus' grandfather implies that his worldview is the result of him being neglected by his parents as a child and thinks he would have turned out different of he had taken him in.
It's entirely subjective which of these two you think is stupider, but between two misguided dudes wanting to control nature to help people and one guy dealing with mommy/daddy issues wanting to remake the universe, I think Archie and Maxie are the lesser of two retards. Also, I don't care enough about XY's story to argue for or against it, I was just talking shit.
