Realisticly, how could have been Pokemon Z if GF didn't rushed gen7?

I feel like all the E4 members would of had Megas is a given. But the gym leaders would have them as a post game thing.

The plot would probably been better like Diantha being more involved, Lysandre and Team Flare not being a joke.

They didn't rushed gen 7. It came 3 years after XY like the majority of other generations. Don't blame SM for the poor decisions made in gen 6.

We know it would have been X2 Y2 so it'd either be a sequel like B2W2(so no fixing XY issues), or change the plot entirely like USUM.

They were going to be 2 games.
I feel there was an extra Zygarde-Xerneas and Zygarde-Yveltal form who then could combine into perfect.
