When I met that kid, he was in a tough spot. He was on probation after serving five years or so in a Yamaguchi center. Turns out the dumbass brought a laptop with half a terabyte of loli porn to coding class and turned out the 'wrong file' as homework. When he came begging for a job so the judge would let him off, he confessed that he did not know how to code (...). In the end I assured him nobody in the studio knew how to and one week before Iwata busted Ishihara and I, Pokémon Green's code was a .txt file called 'New Document'. We both laughed and I gave him the job. At first I just paid him peanuts and gave him normal GameFreak intern jobs during the B/W development, such as driving to Shibuya and bringing in my cocain fix.

The kid soon got the hang of it. He realized we were the type of studio where the music composer is made game director because he has so much dirt on the higher ups that they'd not dare question him. After B/W2 I was so fed up of the fans' bullshit, I decided to show TPC how much I cared about Pokémon and put Ohmori - by then known only as the resident 'pedo on probation' - a game director.

He was terrified with the new responsibility, afraid of 'all the new expectations put on him'. So even when it was time to go to the USA and tell the world we were cutting half the Pokedex to make more people buy Pokémon Bank, I was still the one who had to do it.

Sadly, Ohmori is a patsy. I have no hopes for the next games now that I'm not around.
