I appreciate that Dark Type exists.....because they are far too edgy and it makes Ghost seem more nuanced and interesting by comparison. If Dark didn't exist, a lot of folks would assume Ghost Types are just this world's dark and edgy villain Type. Since Dark exists, it highlights the fact that Ghosts AREN'T them, they aren't quite as edgy and boringly evil as Dark. Ghost Types are something more interesting than that, something more subtle
Plus Ghost is the one who got all the actual shadow-manipulation powers. Suck it, Dark
