>>51333860>Gen 6Assuming we aren't including the Kanto Starters in this, it was actually Fennekin. Gen 6 is very good for Fire-types. Charmander is the best out of all 6.
It goes:
Charmander>Fennekin>Bulbasaur>Froakie>Squirtle>Chespin
Take Megas out of the equation, and Froakie and Chespin might climb a spot each.
>Gen 7Popplio in SM. A weakness to the common poison types used by the enemy team is a drawback, but it gets Scald at the second trial
which is ridiculous. Litten is pretty good too.
Rowlett got screwed. Flying type is fantastic in this game, but a big part of what makes it good in the earlygame is Acrobatics- which Rowlett can't learn until it becomes Decidueye. Ghost is also a bad typing for the latter part of the game, while Flying is excellent, so the type switch is actually bad for it.
Hawlucha is the best mon in both Vanilla SM and USUM, and Oricorio is arguably second, fighting Mudbray for that spot.In USUM Litten is the Easy Mode. It matches up great against more or less everything new introduced, has a great tutor movepool, and Popplio got nerfed(Scald is now endgame). It could be argued that Popplio is still better, but that requires smart play(like Psych Up vs the Totem in the latter parts of the game), which isn't necessarily "easy mode".
>Gen 8I've heard people say Cinderace is the Easy Mode, and I'm inclined to agree. It runs into some full stops early on(Nessa) but so do the others(Drizzile struggles with both the first two gyms, Thwackey struggles with the third), and then it has a very comfortable ride until Raihan, which none of the other two do better against.
It's arguably the worst of the three vs Leon(Leon's Team has 4 fire resists, 3 of which pack effective moves against you).
