SV's open world does seem like an improvement over SWSH, at least.

This is a meme that never actually makes the games they're in any better. It's better to have certain level ranges in specific areas of the map. I much prefer stumbling upon something way out of my league and getting my shit pushed in, and then coming back to beat it when I'm better prepared.

Most fans of the main series are are ultracasuals who only care about CHARIZARD and Pikachu. PoGo players unironically care more about the monsters than the Main series-normies.

Gen 5 had the best EXP system, low level mons get more XP so weaker mons could catch up to stronger mons, while higher level mons got less EXP, effectively creating a soft level cap. But Gen5 is BAD because Gen5 mons were the main focus of Gen5.

Level scaling doesn't prevent enemies from being overleveled. They can just have it check to see if the player's Pokemon is higher level than them, then set their level to be equal.
Like if you're level 20 and you run into a level 15 trainer, that trainer becomes level 20
Plenty of games do this

at first I didn't care at all since I only play with the pokemon from the new region in the playthrough
