The fact I still pop into these threads is partly because I feel we have an obligation to keep /vp/ informed, since this was a project that was made by anons who decided many things. If we arbitrarily just threw out decisions made here then we wouldn't be following the spirit of the project or respecting the wishes of people who contributed to it.
Implementing fairy type would also be a lot of work for little payoff. We'd need to decide which mons would get the typing, implement new moves, re-playtest things, rebalance elements, potentially change a bunch of NPC teams and route distros, and all of those descisons have further ripple effects which might require other things to be changed too. And for what, just to have it for the sake of having it? We don't even have more then like 4-5 lines that could even arguably be fairy. Snome, Lintle, Koblin, Viipii, the mythicals, and that's like it.

There are specific things I could see us reconsidering, despite being voted on, if there was enough of a benefit to the game and there was the internal demand, but even for more minor things, it would be a hurdle. Hell it's a hurdle to get even stuff we HAVEN'T voted against to be considered if it involves changing stuff or adding more work that's not to content yet to be made.
Adding fairy type just isn't going to happen.
