There will be none, as Legends Arceus' plot only happened as the God of the universe wanted a human agent to stop a psycho's plan and had the power to enable the scenario with which to do it.
No other Legend has a power equal to Arceus, thus no other pokémon could feasibly pull a modern player to the past to establish events. Or you know, you could realise if they wanted to churn out cookie-cutter sequels for an easy $600m every third christmas, they'd be up to Let's Go Ho3nn.

That's generally what you fucks expect. But even the news SV ad Legends were developed concurrently should clue you in to the MO. There won't be another Legends, when they'll just take the best bits of what it did and feed it into the core games and come up with something different for the BW remakes/reimaginings as that's what Dexit affords them now. That's what gets me, you fucks squeak "t-try something NEW Game Freak" and when they do, you immediately squeal "OMGOMGOMG, MAKE THIS FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER!1!11" any "legends" game is going to be a rehash, in some form of Arceus (muh go back to muh original dwagoo/muh burny tower/muh kaols war) and now they're doing actual new shit, I'd rather they keep it up, instead of going back to copy/pasting everything they do.

You are mentally deluded. We didn't get Let's Go 2 as they never intended it to be anything but a normie hook for the *actual* Switch Pokémon game they launched the following year. We got Legends as they wanted to go open world on the core games and didn't want to try and remake the 2d map in 3d, so instead paid off whos to make the 1:1 port and wrote a love letter to the region Japan loves so dear. I fully expect Game Freak's BW homage to be as yee-HAW as Legends was GRORIOUS NIPPON!

Legends Unova would be cool, especially since Unova itself is heavily connected to Sinnoh (Sinnoh legendaries in B2W2, Crasher Wake, Caitlin and Cynthia in Unova, half of the Hisuian forms being from Unova, Genies in Hisui, and Alder, Marlon, and Clay having ancestors in Hisui).

I had that idea for a Pokemon Legends: Kyurem. I imagined it like it was basically a setting-wise extreme version Black 3 and White 3 where it takes place in a future Unova with a sort of Midgar-style cyberpunk theme to Castelia City. And we get to go to space through Dragonspiral Tower to battle a version of Kyurem where he fused with both Reshiram and Zekrom and looked like a super technologically-advanced alien robot dragon

Ultra Beasts might be able to as well, Fallers suggest it's possible, though I'd love a game that's just entirely an Ultra Space Ride where you continually go around alternate worlds.

Contrary to what half of the people in this thread are saying, a new game doesn’t have to include time distortion fuckery to justify your character’s inclusion. You can literally just be from the past.

I think the most likely to come next would be a Legends game set in both Kanto and Johto. It would be a waste of time to separate the two. They have a combined dex of 251. PLA only had 242. As for who would be the mascot, it’s a tough call. It really only comes down to Mew, Celebi and Mewtwo.

I love Hoenn to death but I can’t see it getting a Legends game any time soon. Unova and Kalos have more merit to getting a game detailing their past events. Plus those two haven’t had a game release as recently as Hoenn did.

We’ll never get one for Alola, Galar or Paldea.

For a legends Johto, my ideas for regional variants are the Aegislash line as a katana (although there probably wouldn´t be a type change) a variant of Stonjourner based on those wall yokais, Sawk & Throh getting their oni horns back and getting clubs and have electrical powers. As for new Pokemon, maybe a 4th elemental monkey based on do no evil to complete the group, maybe Parasect, Noctowl, and Mawile evos I don know.

If they're going with the same plot they'll use Celebi. If not than Mew would be more well known. Mewtwo even more so but that would be harder to justify in an historical setting.

Game Freak would never let it happen, but if Celebi got a Legends I would want it to just be Johto. Johto and Kanto have different myths and lore so combining them doesn't really make sense.
Heck Husui and Sinnoh have differences in landscape and wildlife so its not like they could make similar chagens to proto-Johto.

I guess I really don’t pay close enough attention to the lore to dispute that. But Johto’s Pokédex includes everything from Kanto. In a game centered around catching everything, I can’t see them separating the two. It would feel redundant to catch everything in Kanto in two games so similar to each other.

With SV having three different stories in it, I could possibly foresee a Legends Kanto/Johto still separating the two regions for plot and lore reasons. Start in Kanto, go complete Johto, then some ultimate conclusion on top of Mt. Silver.

Maybe Paldea about past paradox mons. I can't think of a single thing to do about Kanto because Kanto is a barebone region lacking history and backstory. But maybe they can use Sevii Island as the mainstage instead.

If they want to keep a similar format and premise to Arceus, then Celebi. Celebi can transport the player back, and besides Sinnoh Johto is the biggest “historical” region. Depending on when PLA takes place, it might even run concurrently with PLCelebi (150ish years before Gens 2/4, which are also concurrent).

Kanto I can’t see getting one similar to PLA because it has no historical lore to dive into. I could see them give it something though because… Kanto.

And now they know the consumer generally likes PLA, if they do PL2 Johto would be perfect since you can include Kanto too (for a bigger game, or as DLC).

I've noticed since arceus that fan games have been doing the mixed starter line-up, so now I'm hoping they put out a game where they just use random pokes for starters so fan games can copy that too.
