>>51357644It's weird on purpose and not really supposed to be traditionally likeable. The good in Jynx's design is its originality despite the ordinary humanoid elements in its design, there's enough ambiguity that you cannot pinpoint a real origin for it, nor you can ascertain its motives or personality.
Is this thing trying to seduce you and other pokemon, swaying around like that and making kissy faces? Or is it just manifest its psychic powers through motions?
Is it like a murderous Yuki Onna trying to lead you to your death in a freezing wasteland or a friendly creature that you can socialize with? How intelligent is it?
How did something like this come to be? Is it an ancient tribe turned pokemon or an entity that intentionally mimics humanity?
It's imaginative enough it can lead to interesting world building. Any Jynx specimen you meet could be any of this things.
Meanwhile, Incineroar tells you everything you need to know at a first glance, it's a bolsterous, arrogant tiger wrestler, that's it. There's no potential there, no multiple interpretations. It's not really a
monster species, it's more like a corporate mascot with an established personality and set of characteristics that leaves no space left for imagination. Several new pokemon are like this and they are boring as fuck.
