I like seeing everyone's OC's and fake pokemon/pokemon form concepts. I think a lot of them are lame or edgy or just downright awful but you can really see pure passion and love for the series behind them

I think the trading mechanic needs to change.

You should be allowed to trade multiple quantities of Pokemon at the same time.

You should also be allowed to trade unequal quantities of Pokemon, ie. you trade one, the other player trades two.

You should also be able to just straight-up give away/donate Pokemon to other players.

The Linking Cord item from P:LA should exist in the core series games.

I also never played Pokemon after Sun/Moon, so I have no idea what features currently exist.

The thing is, you get glimpses like the fairy forest or ultra space and you know that someone on the team has interesting visual ideas for environments. I'm convinced that they are making shit boring on purpose to be on brand.

I think the anime is at its best when it's focused on the goofy characters and locations that make up the pokemon world. The battles are a snoozefest, there's hardly ever any gravitas to them, hardly any strategizing, and I can only see Pikachu use the same attack so many times before my brain turns to mush
