Reboots/retcons make his character even worse; Ash's character is already too saturated. Should be better to make the stories like Manga where all protags exist on each region and only them have the full spotlight where former protagonists from previous regions appear only as side characters.
the Ashnime protagonist (Ash himself) vs. game protagonists wanking over which one is/are stronger is one huge heap of disaster, mounting since two decades ago. People should be reminded again which one comes first? the Anime OR the Game.
>>51371747The root of all problem of Ashnime is the writers are pussies to fully adapt the Game, instead just forced Ash with all the spotlight as sole protagonist at all regions. If Ash&Gary is Red&Blue of Anime, then it is absolutely better when other characters that represent other regions exist too as the new protagonist. Like making Jimmy & Marina as Gold/Ethan & Kris as new protagonists in Johto, while Ash&Gary relegated into side characters.
>>51371764Should realize it sooner fren. it's already too late. nu-Ash is just a mascot like Pikachu. The entire Ashnime since Unova is nothing more than Pokémon mascot exhibition in the form of weekly Anime series spanned for years. Same with recent Goh and Koharu.
