I came here looking for Shiny Hunt Weekend (shw) and look, I think I found it!

My most recent Shiny hunt was Hydreigon in USUM. I hatched him as a Deino in a friend ball using the Masuda Method. I taught the little guy Dark Pulse, Earth Power, Roost, and Defog. It's an eclectic and gen 7 limited set. Now I'm working on another Shiny gen 7 Hydreigon to teach it Roost and Nasty Plot.

Then I have more targets for USUM, Greninja (hp fire, fingers crossed), Weavile, & Shuckle to name a few.

I hope everyone else's holiday shiny hunt weekend is going well!

I just got dialga in BD last week so I’m free to do my hunts there til I go for Mesprit.
Still going strong for Jirachi I’m hoping to hit 5k this week. I tried to replace my battery with a battery holder last week for my ruby but it didn’t work right. The cartridge still works though.

My most recent shiny was an alpha Rotom. I've been trying to re-find a shiny H-Sneasle that I had lost due to forgetting to save a few weeks ago, and in that time I've found said Rotom, 2 Abra, Rhydon, Tentacool, Buneary, Ninetails, Magmar, Burgmite, and 2 Haunter. Still no Sneasle though.

I got a shiny togetic from colosseum a while back and when I transferred it to Galar it turned out to be a square shiny. Did I get lucky or would it have been rarer if the Pokémon was a star shiny instead?

Also something funny, in alabaster if you spawn a shiny in the ice path below the ground you will also spawn a shiny above, happened to me with a bergmite below ground and snorunt on top, it's fucking cool

Do you already have Poke Transporter in case you need it? I've read that you need to have a paid Bank in order to even download Transporter. We are getting Bank for free coming March 2023 but who knows if that will unlock that download. Knowing Nintendo and GF it "may" become impossible because there could be some retarded "check if active Bank suscription" flag in there to let you download Transporter

tl;dr: if you care about transferring from older gens and just in case you don't have Transporter already then pay for Bank now juuuust to be safe

I ended up getting two shiny Stantler last week too, but they were individuals and the second was a reclaim (which I'm still stunned the game spat out for me) as I was an idiot and forgot to save before scumming an MMO.

Speaking of shinies - the Poipole you get in USUM isn't shiny-locked, right? So if I save scum in front of the person who gives it to you, i should eventually get the shiny version? And it isn't affected by the Shiny Charm? I've been at it for almost a week now with no luck.

this thing I found in Bushido (fangame) while grinding up a Larvesta
it doesn't have any indication of shininess and the animation didn't play when it popped up, but it's 101% using the shiny sprite so i'm counting it

not exactly an achievement considering this game's odds are apparently 1/470 according to the devs, but it is my most recent

I have only ever seen 1 shiny in my entire life. It was a female Exeggcute that I found in the Safari Zone in Leafgreen and it ran away after the first ball.
Ironically, I've had Pokerus twice which is even less likely iirc.
