If I had to guess, I'd say gen 10 will be some kind of ability change gimmick, unless you count Dream World abilities in gen 5 as that, in which case maybe gen 10 will be some kind of held item gimmick? There's not much else to interract with anymore. Maybe they'll shock us all by introducing a new variable like the special split, it would be a milestone gen after all.
