Since BDSP came out I'm growing more and more worried about the future of Pokemon remakes. I am 100% certain that the next ones will be Johto remakes, hopefully Let's Go games, but what's next? Will people start begging for Black and White remakes? Will #UnovaConfirmed trend on Twitter? I hope not!
What I think personally is that BDSP was the last time we're gonna get a good old fashioned remake in that fashion for a while. Unova doesn't need to be remade any time soon for any reason whatsoever, so what's next ? In my opinion, we will get something Unova related around the time "Unova Remakes" would happen, and I think we have three options.
First is perhaps another "Legends" game. My idea is it'll be Legends Genesect, so that the "Legends" series is based around the last Pokemon in that region's dex number, like Arceus was last time. Legends Genesect can be set way far into the past before Genesect had its genetic and mechanical enhancements, I think could be interesting.
We could also get "Legends Kyurem" maybe? Or perhaps it could be called by another name like Pokemon Gray or something? We could finally see the Perfect Dragon and what Kyurem looked like before it unfused with Reshiram and Zekrom.
My final guess is something like Black and White 3 coming out. Instead of remaking Unova the way it was, we can return to it in the present day with a brand new story.
What do you guys think? If a Unova remake is unlikely any time in the near or distant future, what would you want to see come out in its stead?
