Without hacking your 3DS, you might be able to add funds through your Switch and use that. Never tried it though, so I can't confirm if it works. I say just hack the 3DS.

It works, you have to link a Nintendo Account to your NNID and then you can add funds through your Switch. Not sure if you can still create new NNIDs on a 3DS right now tho

Not sure, it should be available for free too but you never know with GF/Nintendo's retardation because there could be some flag that checks whether you have an active sub or not and I'm sure they won't bother to release any more specific patches in case that needs to be changed.
If you don't have Transporter right now but you have the means to get an active Bank sub then get to it before March, better safe than sorry

my switch is linked to the old account system and money doesn't share with it, and considering that a £5 card goes for £25 now as they're sparce i'm just gonna have to hope and pray you can download the transporter. I always meant to get bank but just never did for some reason, guess I just dont like the idea of paying for something i'd been doing for free for years. Still dont pay for home, just use the free box. All my mons are still in B/W 2 and US/UM.
