Why is the fighting type so boring?

It feels like whenever they can’t decide on a secondary typing they just whack fighting type on it. It constantly eats into starter typings too

incineroar and cinderace are basically pseudo fighting types and probably would have been if not for the backlash after gens 3-5, so we’ve basically had a fighting type starter in gens 3-9 which is crazy
