but there's a big leap from raichu to a-raichu, or marowak to a-marowak or corsola to cursola, enough to justify an evolution.
and its not as if we've never had evolutions with totally different aesthetics than their prevos, all you really need to justify some of the evolutions is a stone or something along those lines
what im saying is, if you think megas "can just be another evolution", you should apply that same logic to regional forms (and g-max) too.
