>>51387839I'm an off boarder just passing through but I'll give my thoughts anyways.
My last "new" Pokemon game was Diamond back on the DS. I occasionally play the GBA ones on an emulator since that was the height of my interest in the games as a kid. I ended up getting bored with the series since I mostly just grinded levels and spammed the same attacks with very little strategy involved. I always appreciated the games but they felt like a slog after a while. Maybe I just played them too much.
I used to get every new game but after diamond I stopped. Now it feels like there's too many and so much has happened with the series it feels like a lot to take in. I am only loosely aware of the newer trainers cause they're cute and from what I've seen in memes or whatever.
Browsing this board has me a little interested in playing the newer games. Are they still just the same old thing? I have no idea. I think I saw one that was all 3D and nifty looking. I have a switch so I could give it a shot. Are any of the games post diamond worth checking out?
