I've been saying this for a couple gens now, at least about the character designs. It started small, with Rosa and Nate's eyes, but now the human design can't even stay consistent within the same gen.

This entire generation's character design for the humans feels like it was catered towards Twitter/Tumblr CalArts sensibilities. It's especially jarring how most of the humans of the previous generations had good designs consistently.
