I like Venusaur more as an adult now (fuck Ivysaur coomers though) but I can't understand a kid that would pick bulba or squirtle over charmander their first time

Yes, bulbasaur, cause my mind automatically rejects anything I feel is being pushed at me by someone else and both Charizard and Blastoise were on the boxes, so I went for the only one not pandered to.

I went Bulbasaur as a kid because he was the most vague monster. I had choice of turtle, lizard, or weird frog dinosaur seed thing. The choice was clear, plus he was cute.

The only reason i picked charmander over the other two is because charizard was least shitty final form of the three, depite Wartortle and Ivysaur being my two favourite pokemon of gen 1 because mashing B on every levelup was getting on my nerves
I have not picked charmander once since the introduction of everstone.

As a kid I had the original handbook before I played the games and I always liked the bulbasaur line because they looked seamless. Ivysaur wasn’t the odd one out like charmeleon and wortortle.
