You just search up the name on the archive and make note of the images/comments posted with said name to build a quick portfolio.
Preston has this very very odd habit of posting Choo Choo from Top Cat on /v/ in the past week.
Then you go into the file metadata of the posts, find out things like filenames, locations, etc. Typically 4chan strips metadata when you post things, but with standard 4chan, doesn't randomize the file name. So I picked up on a particular picture with the Spanish world for Download (1). [more on that later]
Anyway, using SauceOps, I pretty much did an image comparison to where the images came from, and the common connection. From there its just rattling off potentialities and metadata along with recent posts external to 4chan.
All the images posted by Preston where pulled from his Twitter feed; and Preston's Twitter feed denotes Central Texas as location, where the Spanish download name comes in handy.
The Twitter read is essentially the same as the 4chan postings, "Attention seeking literally furry faggotry." So It's pretty much an 80% confirmation; with an acceptable margin of error to allot for potential other users who fall in a lower percentage confirmation.
The secondary confirmation is that after posting the subtle confirmation, the thread suddenly went dead.
So it's a decent estimation to say "The call was a hit, because someone forgot to take off their name from inter board shitposting, and doesn't practice good secops."
