Was definitely a pain in the dick whenever he'd play us or anyone else.
Outside of that, maybe I can include my entire history of shiny hunting?
Out of every mainline Pokemon game I've played (all but the Switch ones), I've only seen three shinies.
Masuda method, shiny charm, tens of thousands of eggs, random battling, tens of thousands of cumulative hours, three shinies. I drive myself crazy trying to catch/breed one every gen, and every gen I give up.
One I encountered while helping my younger brother out on his gen 7 save file, it was a shiny Finneon. Both of us laughed at how useless it was, but I caught it for him.
One was a shiny Magnemite, which was pretty cool.
The third I remember was a shiny Murkrow, full-odds, totally random, but I didn't have any Pokeballs at the time. Shiny Honchkrow is my favorite Pokemon of all time, so I'm pretty sure I cried myself to sleep, absolutely sobbed.
