It's not that deep my 2017 Switch stopped connecting to my TV and it's quite battered from being knocked about accidentally and on purpose (fuck Smash Bros) and this one is genuinely really nice looking. I have need of it and it pleases my eyes, why would I not buy it?

Idk whether I should buy it or not. I also have a 2017 switch, and kinda want a new one, but mines still in pretty good condition. This one has an awesome design, and truth is I could really use the extra battery life, but still, I’m just not sure if I have enough of a reason to buy one

I always regret not buying the special editions especially when I have the extra cash for them
as long as you're not going broke because of it "I bought it because I want it" is really the only reason you need

I'm in your same situation. so 'll get the oled one to use as my main, and then will hack the old one in the future

I had a launch-model Switch in fantastic nick and I still sprung for the OLED model when it launched last year. Go for it if you have the money, it's a good upgrade.

Same. My Switch's left joycon rail died. I can't play handheld anymore and because I failed to fix it myself, I don't think I can get Nintendo to do it for me anymore because of policy. I could just play on my TV, but I'd need one of those joycon charging stations and probably an extra joycon if I'd want to play without worrying my battery dying.

All in all this Switch looks really cool imo and I like that the OLED is bigger and has better visuals (supposedly, I've never actually seen a solid comparison). I'm thinking Scarlet on this thing in the Fall is gonna be comfy season.
