they haven't had major pokemon news at a nintendo direct since just before the SWSH launch, there won't be shit
if there's anything pokemon-related at all it'll be GB/GBA on NSO (and probably no Home compatability)

The 5th September 2019 Nintendo Direct had Sword and Shield news, mostly revolving around irrelevant shit but it did reveal Cramorant and Polteageist.

So basically everyone in this thread is stupid or full of shit. It might have Pokémon news, it might not - but trying to guess that based on patternfaggotry is silly especially if you’re wrong.

Back then when /vp/ was less trashy than it is now, we would have distribution code threads where based anons would share pokemon distribution codes. The last time it happened, I believe, was during the Zarude event. For Pokemon specifically? Nothing, Pokemon has their own Directs/Presents for a reason. SV and the special edition OLED might get mentioned but that's about it. Definitely no new reveals. For non-Pokemon, I suspect we'll get a very brief update on BOTW2 that reveals little and confirms nothing, outside of reaffirming the 2023 release date. Same goes for Metroid Prime 4. They'll probably dedicate a fair amount of time to Splatoon 3 and Mario + Rabbids 2, along with the obligatory montage of third party trash and PORTS PORTS PORTS. It'll end with some reveal for a game that's very far away that people will get hype over anyway because they're fucking drones.

I hope the Terastal hats have a toggle or customization for something less pronounced like a smaller crown, or just be able to turn those off. Not gonna happen though. I don't mind the idea of accessories for Pokemon to be visible in battle, but these huge eyesores are too much.

This is absolutely an acceptable trade off in my opinion. Local wireless hopefully still works like it does for 3DS VC versions but just using the N64 online shit anyways for Stadium seems great.
I'd love to see something special implemented to allow each use to only see their own moves in the games but I know that's asking too much.
The bigger issue would be how to do you get player 2's custom team from their gen1/2 save available to use when p1 is hosting with their save file and set up in the n64 emulator?

Pokemon having its own marketing timetable doesn't preclude them from using nintendo directs as part of their marketing timetable. Directs still occasionally feature pokemon news, even if the bulk of the information comes from pokemon specific videos.
