Clearly this was a short meant for middle-aged normie genwunners who hopped back into Pokémon with Go and the Switch games. The ending really cements that mindset.
Worst PokéToon, however, PokéToon is still the best Gen 8 anime.

The last scene is the starting cutscene of gen 1. I think the parents are galarians but they moved to Kanto. Now I like to see it as that cutscene is the Nidorino of this girl fighting that gengar

Except there's modern technology such as smartphones and tablets. If it's supposed to be the actual starting cutscene from either Gen 1 or FRLG and not just a reference to it, that'd create a time paradox. LGPE lacks that cutscene, so that can't be it either.
