Is it me or the Pokemon Anime fandom is the most toxic and autistic much more than the video game fandom.

They always go around with their ship fights or complaining about Ash being on par with the champions when people complained about Ash not winning a league or even being able to defeat an elite four member for over 20 years.

And also other nonsense like Cynthai vs Leon

What did you actually expect from a group of adults who regularly tune into and/or watch thousands of hours of formulaic goyslop made for infants, not even toddlers but actual infants, the Pokemon anime is basically Japanese Blues Clues or Paw Patrol

Well yeah, it's a show you're meant to watch for a season or 2 and move on from. It repeats plotlines, character developments and narratives all the time. These retards sit down and watch it in fury expecting it to cater to them. And in a way, it does with its callbacks, so they stay watching and moaning

Other than small static spin offs actually bringing something new to the table, pokemon is always the same repetition with people expecting it to cater to them and in a way it does with its subtle comebacks (that most don't even understand cause admittedly play pokemon out of addiction with no functionable brain cell)

Honestly having him bullshit his way through other characters the way he's doing it in that tournament is not any fun either. You just don't win with Ash

The mistake was making Ash more then Red’s counterpart. If Ash had just been the Gen 1 protagonist, the anime would have been better off.

They advertise it as the Ultimate showdown of the strongest in the anime, BUT there's the rule that participants can only use one gimmick (Mega, Z-move, DMax) per battle, and Ash has all three, meaning he will inevitably go to the finals. Also, the fact that the only match the anime wants you to care about is Leon vs Ash because of Leon's retarded concept of LE INVINCIBLE CHAMPION OF THE UNIVERSE & CHARIZARD, so of course they didn't dwell on how he fights or the rest of his team and just put him on top while everything else that moves kisses his ass (pic related)
There is just no real hype

The Pokemon anime is in a weird spot. This franchise is big enough now to where we have limited animated specials like every few months, and all of them are more impressive the main show. But people are invested enough in Ash to talk about his tournament arcs, or start huge riots when he doesn't win. I guess its just how long he's been around.

I think the games are ok. They all added something worthwhile to the playing experience over time to me.
