Even if everone interacting with pokémon online agreed to not buy it it would still sell 13m and continue pitching at kids, likely ging harder, as merch sales would stay consistently high, revenue from selling the anime overseas would remain the same and they'd likely earn another 2m off the sale of an airplane or some shit.
It's not the fact you lost, it's the fact you thought you had an outside chance of winning, that's fucking hilarious. ANY IP that can sell whole-aircraft advertising off its name alone is something not to be fucked with and a kiddy brand doing it just drives that point home.
