>>51446376>Are the SNES games goodFE3(Mystery of the Emblem) is pretty dang good, also includes both an upgraded version of the very first game and the sequel. Perfectly fine entry point.
FE4 is completely different from most FEs in style and the gameplay is not similar to the rest of the series. Often praised for having a mature story that is the best in the franchise.
On a personal level, I straight up dislike playing it- slow, tedious and easy is not a nice combo. The storytelling is also ridiculously clumsy. FE5 is more similar to regular FE but also has a ton of strange mechanics that would not end up sticking around, and is in some ways very unwelcoming to newcomers.
Tells its story better than 4If you start on the SNES, you should absolutely do it with FE3.
>Best starting points in generalFE3 is solid.
FE9- has a very good tutorial system that is not actually forced on you, and it is a fairly easy game that still manages some challenge here and there. Battle Animations are slow as balls though, whether you use the full ones or the map ones. If you don't care for that, go for another one.
FE8- also gets you into the hang of things quickly, and is easy enough not to turn away newcomers.
FE7- forces a 10 chapter long tutorial on you. Not necessarily the actual best entry point, but unless you want to download some save data to bypass this bullshit when you play this game later, might be the way to go. At least the tutorial is thorough.
