Now also boosts your defenses by 50% in sunlight, basically negating the extra damage you would take from Fire type attacks in the Sun, therefore removing the negative synergy with Sun whilst also helping you to be more defensive in general.

So now many Pokemon would have choice between Defense buff or Speed buff in sunlight, especially nice together with the added bonus of being able to use Solar Blade/Beam in 1 turn and the 75% Synthesis Healing.

That's still kind of shit. Most Pokemon with Leaf Guard aren't really good on sun teams one way or another. Sun is an offensive playstyle, nobody would bother with defensive Pokemon that would just run out the Drought clock.

Now 50% chance and not just status but also 25% of the Ally's HP.

Suddenly shitmons like Audino and Alomomola are looking much better.
And Aromatisse's Aroma Veil and Hatterene's Magic Bounce would have some competition instead of being no brainers.

Speaking from mainly VGC players perspective here btw.

Also maybe someone could come up with some buffs for these abilities: Anticipation, Hydration, Forewarn, Pastel Veil, Stench, Tangled Feet, Steadfast, Early Bird

No, now Healer is the default ability for any Pokemon with Healer in Doubles.
You just made an automatic Jungle Healing. That’s so insanely good in Doubles there is no reason to use Magic Bounce or Aroma Veil. A bulky attacking teammate is now basically unkillable with every other turn healing it by 25%

Let me try:

>Anticipation
Also negates the first super-effective move used against it until it switches out.
>Early Bird
Also gains +2 Speed whenever it wakes up.
>Forewarn
Psychic moves also gain +1 priority.
>Stench
Halves the power of other Pokémon's Psychic and Ghost moves. Based on connecting the JP name あくしゅう (literally "Evil Odour", but could also be read as "Vice") with the Dark type.

Sure that'd be cool. I don't usually consider that kind of effect for golisopod because it doesn't really have the most batonpass-worthy moves: substitute is the big one like always, but in this case it's a risky sub because you have to be brought down to 50% HP or below by an attack to pass it, but also need to still have over 25% HP to make the sub, so it'd be a one-time thing without the proper support. You might think it'd be as easy as "duh, just bring your own HP down by using substitute", but emergency exit is not activated if golisopod lowers its own HP via stuff like substitute, pain split or belly drum (which it doesn't get anyways). I guess you could always change how the effect works?

As for other stuff worth passing, it only gets SD and bulk up, and 3 different defense-raising moves for wharever reason. I guess if it gets to move before switching out AND the baton pass effect is built in then it can lead to some unique setups for physical attackers, but it's so slow I feel it's more likely to baton pass the effects of an enemy's taunt.

Now raise Def or SpA depending on if the attacker has higher Atk or SpA.
On regular Pokemon Dauntless Shield would be amazing, but it was a missed oppritunity with Zamazenta-C since they decided to split its defenses while Zacian-C doesn’t split its offenses.

A little bit like Unaware but for specific stat only. Keen Eye already ignores targets' evasion stat stages besides preventing accuracy reduction.
>Overgrow/Blaze/Torrent: Activates at 50% HP instead of 33%. Boosts highest stat by 1 stage (effect is like a combination of Drampa's Berserk + UB's Beast Boost). Also boosts Grass/Fire/Water moves by 50% like the original effect.
Just wanna give starters somewhat useful signature Ability. Some super special signature Abilities got multiple effects, like Water Bubble, Flower Veil, and Punk Rock.

>100 BP fire move
>in sun, becomes 150 power fire move
>50% reduction from buffed leaf guard
>50% of 150 is 75
>150 - 75 = 75
>100bp fire move becomes 75 power fire move in sun
It doesn't negate it, it reduces it.

OP's ability would behave like scenario D), where the modified leaf guard essentially gives the grass type an AV-like boost in the sun, effectively bringing damage down exactly to what it would be if there was no sun. Compared to actually halving damage like heatproof does, it doesn't reduce the sun boost, it simply negates it.

I still don't really like OP's leaf guard, but their logic is sound
