Sometime after USUM released, I was listening to Zinnia battle theme on a train ride and felt it was somehow giving off 19th century vibes, and then I imagined a Pokemon game set in 1800s in London inspired region etc.
Even wanted to do a romhack with this idea.
BAM, Sword and Shield releases, then Legends Arceus.
A year ago I was thinking of making a romhack or essentials game that was set in Kanto, but in an alternate reality, where the region is less urbanised and the whole region is actually a university campus, where trainers come to study. Gym leaders were professors, students had to pass battle exams (gym leader battles) and so on to graduate (the final exam being the E4 and "Headmaster"/Champion)
