You can just catch what you want, only fight trainers, and you will be perfectly ready for the next gym leader. You won't even be badly overleveled, maybe by like 1 or 2 levels. HMs aren't even a hassle anymore which makes you question why they're even in the game still. Pokemon look terrible since they don't fit the overworld at all, I have no intention on using walking pokemon. The overworld is cute but they obviously did it because it wouldn't take much effort, but I don't know if it's really fitting for this story, Galactic is one of the edgier villain teams.
It's neat, there's no reason to really go back to DP and all Platinum really has over it is the Frontier if I'm being honest. Is it worth 60 bucks? LMAO. But if you're in the mood for some Kinnoh without any of slog of the gen 4 engine, and it's on sale, sure buy BDSP. It eliminates a lot of what people dislike about DPPT.
