TPC and Game Freak clearly want anyone above the age of 10 to drop any and all interest in Pokémon, it’s way too obvious.

You are delusional. There are tons of merch that is too expensive or unappealing for 10 year olds. Adult fans with tons of disposable income who have nostalgia that can be taken advantage of are very valuable to them.

Yes, that's the point. You're supposed to outgrow the franchise and get replaced by bunch of new kids, that's how the franchise keeps making money. If older fans stuck around, Pokemon would have died a long time ago

Someone has to buy, and at $60 a pop it's rarely the kid. Actively alienating all else would be just as suicidal as the trying to find a diamond in a desert that is feedback for a franchise called be too big to fail by those who don't know what it means.
