Ash needs a scene with Pikachu using an enormous 10000000 Volt Thunderbolt on the entire Rocket Headquarters and force all of them to dogoza to him. It's the only way to reconcile him having beaten Leon and Cynthia.

Why did he suddenly go from being a tryhard turbocuck who still jobs in XYZ to being a Goku tier Chad who wins without even using a stacked team in Sun/Moon, and never stopped?

How many times in the show was he actually a father-figure?

I hear too many say that but I never saw really any scenes where it stood out except maybe the episode where Kukui got married or the last 2 episodes of SM.

God, you're stupid. You act like he got steamrolled in Kalos when he was literally on winning streaks left and right and his final battle was down to the final blow. He even got finished off Lysandre's juiced up Pokemon. Ash was near this level by the end of DP. BW just messed everything up and then the preceded to ignore that until some idiot fucked up the Kalos finals and realized that people actually like characters who win when they should, so Alola became Ash's redemption arc and he basically swept that whole region as he built up a strong team as well.

Ash didn't "suddenly" get strong in JN. He always was strong at least 2 series before it and just never got nerfed from the end of XY to now in JN. Instead, he kept getting stronger.

Maybe more people would actually know that if they actually watched the show and had more than 2 braincells.

Since the beginning. He was always looking after Ash. Especially after his marriage, him and Burnet acted like parents to Ash. There are many episodes where the three are just bonding together

Ignoring the goofy and unwanted art change, Ash's life with Kukui was pretty fun to watch. There was all sorts of synergy between everyone in Alola, and it really helped that part of the entire experience involved seeing everyone with a family. Ash, being away from his mother, needed something like that, but he couldn't just mooch off of one of the other kids. Cue up the second best professor, and Ash has a place to stay with a guardian figure that remained relevant throughout the entire series.

Kukui was such a god damned champ. I miss him. Not so much Burnet since she barely did anything other than...well, I really don't remember anything about her other than that Kukui tapped that ass and gave her one hell of a confession.

The actual answer is that this was going to be Team Rocket's finale and exit from the show until Japan threw a giant fit ovr it cause they can't let go. They even played a big song sung by the TRio as a farewell to wrap up that episode, but then they kept them around and haven't known what to do with them since. Now in JN, they hardly show up and even Japan doesn't really care much.
