If Leon makes even ONE MISTAKE during his battle with Ash, it will be unequivocally proven that they planned to hand Ash a win this entire time. It won't even feel earned despite being cucked out of 7 generations of leagues beforehand. There is no reason for Leon to hold back, or fumble opportunities that even the most casual battler would attempt to take advantage of.
