Gentleman Answer: Game Freak only values about a handful of Pokemon, most of which are CHARIZARD, the other Kanto Starters, Pikachu ,some other Gen 1 mons, the other shillmons, and an assorted few from later gens. Game Freak also intentionally make some Pokemon shit because they hate them. While you will be able to get at least a few wins regardless of what team you use, that will most likely be due to incompetence or inexperience from your opponent or yourself getting lucky. At end of the day there is a reason why the some Pokémon aren't used in serious games. Some Pokemon exist to be used while other exist to be window dressing to make the viable ones look better. So if winning the game Game Freak created is important you, you'll have to play by their rules and that unfortunately that may mean benching the Pokemon you may have wanted to use in favor of the ones Game Freak wants you to use.
