Ice now not only has triple the resistances, but those resistances are quality resistances too thanks to their buffs.

Ice sucks ass defensively but giving it Water resistance won't improve a thing and giving it literally any other resistance won't make sense. It's better off as "move-only" type.

It would for Aurorus, Hisuian Avalugg, Mamoswine, and Galarian Darmanitan. They're weak to Water and Water is considerably in need of a nerf.

The main issue with it is that Ice was MEANT to be a hyper-offensive type, hence why the most successful Ice-types like Weavile and G-Darmanitan capitalize on that. HOWEVER, for some reason, slow bulky Ice-types continue to be shat out for some reason. It'd be like a physical-attacking Psychic-type pre-Gen 4, it just simply does not work as the type was not meant for that.
If we did want to make bulky ice-types work, then we could slap on a couple resistances like Grass and Water in order to make it easier for mons like Avalugg and Mamoswine to switch into those moves.

Don't play fanfic meta so they are allowed to use Sheer Cold like they were meant to.
Also reminder that Lapras has the beet G-Max move in the game and that Calyrex-I is the king of Trick Room in doubles.
Oh and on the special side ice might as well be supereffective against water since literally all ice special attackers can use Freeze-Dry.
Also HDB exists and Triple Axel has made Weavile even more broken.
Slush Rush Arctozolt is a monster too.

Ice is a strong glass cannon type now. Bad defensively (but Aurora Veil makes up for that) and extremely strong offensively.
It doesn't need fixing.

Fix Bug instead since it's dogshit both in offense AND defense.

Either Lapras gets the Kommo-o treatment (new move that mimics the previous gen's gimmick) or too bad, it's not like ice is the only type that loses the GMax gimmick.
In fact, ice actually benefits a lot from the new type change gimmick instead, more than other types. It might also be one of the very few types that can makes OFFENSIVE use of it since ice is one of the best types for mono-attacking sets along with dark, fairy and flying.

Kyurem for example rarely runs dragon STAB and we know how powerful its ice spam is. 2x STAB on that is nothing to laugh at.

Ice has seen its best performance yet with an insane showing (Arctozolt, Ninetales, Weavile, Kyurem Black, regular Kyurem, GDarm) in Smogon and strong guys like Calyrex Ice and Gmax Laparas in VGC. There are still many horrendous ice types but overall the design philosophy of making them more like Snowman Darmanitan seems to be rising.

Yeah I think they're actually serious about making offensive ice types now.
Glacial Lance is the best physical attack in the game with 130 BP, 100% acc and no drawback (and it's even a split move in doubles), Triple Axel is risky and has bad distribution but it's still potentially a 120 BP move that goes through subs. If something with Technician ever gets it and has decent stats it might get that mon banned.

What's wrong with ice? It's how you deal with dragons, for some reason. That's a valuable asset. Ice became pointless when Fairy was introduced. Ice-Type lovers should pair up with Dark-Type lovers and go bitch about Fairy-Type faggots.
