Who says they don't. There's probably a set of hallways that leads to the parent's rooms. They just aren't shown because the player has no reason to go in there.
No bathrooms are shown but the player's house more than likely has them.

The player doesn't have a reason to commit home invasion upon half of the population, but you can.

"It's implied" is a lazy mans excuse for an incompetent mans work.

It's not particularly relavent for the game. The game is supposed to take place through the eyes of a ten year old beginning their pokemon journey.

This is why only information around that is shown. Do you want them to show the tax policy and and government structures down to the municipality too?

Because you are not supposed to take the games literal you nignog, especially older ones.
What you see is just an abstraction of events and places, simplification. Just as there's more than 3 buildings in Pallet Town, there's also more to houses than 1-2 poorly planned rooms.
